“I went here with 4 of my immediate family to celebrate a big birthday. There were some concerns beforehand due to some mixed reviews on Google. However we all really enjoyed our experience. The staff were warm & caring & made the 4 year old in the party welcome. The food was excellent both in quantity and taste. The views we had over the River Thames were stunning. We arrived an hour or so before sunset so were able to enjoy the views both in daylight & night time. Although I can only afford this type of dining for special occasions I felt I received value for every penny. I received good communication from the brasserie before & after the meal.”

“We came for the afternoon tea but that needed to be booked 48h in forehand. Could be info about that online. But we had an amazing gourmet lunch instead. Absolutely top class dishes. Both vegetarian meals and meat. Lovely view over The Thames with St Pauls cathedral on the other side.”

“I visited on Saturday evening for my boyfriends birthday celebration. I was looking forward to trying the cauliflower dish but saw the menu had changed and it was taken off. Im not a fan of mushrooms so was a little disappointed that this was replaced with another mushroom dish when there was already two others on the menu I tried the pea falafel instead but asked for no tofu yoghurt and onions. The waiter suggested that it would be dry without the yoghurt but could ask the chef for an alternative that I can have. I thought that was very kind and he came back and offered a sauce with red pepper, I think it had tomato, and paprika which i was happy to try The falafel was very tasty and I would definitely order it again. I loved the sauce too (not pictured) so thank you to the chef & waiter for offering. My boyfriend enjoyed his battered cod & potatoes. The cocktails were great too!! We had the sticky toffee puddings for dessert which was delicious but I just wish it was a bit hotter. His cake with a birthday message which I asked for beforehand and also a candle which was a nice touch The music was good but a little loud for me as we were seated near the speakers. I visited before maybe 4 years ago and was seated in front of the kitchen so the volume was a lot better and the view was nicer too. I would visit again this place is very nice for a birthday celebrations, the service is great and has a nice buzzing atmosphere. If quieter environments are your thing the restaurant might be a better choice”

“After many years, I finally returned to OXO — and the terrace is still absolutely stunning. Especially with London’s recent unbelievably good weather, the sun doesn’t set until 8:30 PM. It’s truly lovely! Sangria Sin A very refreshing mocktail — perfect for times when you’re not drinking alcohol! Crab The crab meat is finely shredded and paired with elderflower jelly and what I think are lightly pickled spring onions. It tastes incredibly refreshing, and the oat crumble adds a really nice texture. Lobster Ravioli The lobster at the base is especially fresh — tender and springy. The seasoning is light yet flavourful, and the textures of the ingredients are well balanced. Dry Aged Beef Fillet Cooked to a perfect medium — tender and easy to cut. The sauce really elevated the dish! The bone marrow is plated on the side with some accompaniments. You get two pieces of steak in one portion, so it’s quite generous. Chips Perfectly crispy — these thick-cut fries are seriously tasty! Lots of people were enjoying drinks while watching the sunset here — super relaxing! OXO Restaurant, Barge House St, London SE1 9PH”
